Чуть подробнее на сайте проекта Gemini (eng.), и в статейке на Хабре (рус.).
Выглядит как текстовый веб, почти без картинок, с ASCII графикой. Но вот для экстралонглинков — самое оно, КМК. Широкополосного доступа на межпланетных (не говоря про межзвёдные) расстояния ожидать сложновато без капитального прорыва в физике.
В качестве gemini-клиента я пользуюсь Lagrange.

Подключиться к проекту можно через терминал (та же Putty). Почувствовать себя в шкуре одного из персонажей той реальности, у которого с внешним миром из связи есть только текстовый терминал, в который прилетают сообщения с узла.
Эдакая текстовая РПГ с достаточно свободным сюжетом и открытым миром. «Гражданин Галактики» и «Пламя над Бездной» разом!
